dude if you really think about it, like how absolutely devastating is it to think that Lucy actually ran after Natsu crying her heart out through the entirety of Magnolia

like how long do you think she ran before she realized she would never catch up to him and she would never see him again for at least a year, and she just gave up and realized that she was literally all alone now, that the guild was broken up and everyone was gone and she was all alone. She had no one.

Like just imagine her standing alone in that street, looking out towards nothing with that letter and that awful stab of pain in her as she realized that she had nothing now. Like I can honestly see her falling to her knees sobbing at that thought alone, like I wouldn’t even know what to do with myself in that situation

Like??? I don’t even know, just how long?? Until she slowly just accepted it? Until she couldn’t run anymore, until her legs burned? Until that nagging thought in her head of ‘please don’t go, please leave me turned into its too late, he’s gone’?

Like that’s fucking heartbreaking.
